From intern to project engineer: “Every day I learn something new”

Sometimes your dream job is closer than you think. For Tycho, it all started with an internship posting on a website. “I wasn’t familiar with Kompak yet, but it was conveniently located. During my internship, I discovered how much I enjoyed it here, so I stayed.” He was given the opportunity to grow, and Tycho now works for us as a project engineer.

Every day is different, always something new.

In his role as a project engineer, he now contributes to the engineering of various products. “The best part is that no two days are the same. I learn new things every day. This keeps the work interesting and never boring.”

Proud of helping colleagues

He is most proud when his work directly contributes to the well-being of others. “We do a lot for the people who work here. When I’ve designed or drawn something that makes their work easier, it’s truly satisfying. We have all the departments together in one office, so you immediately see the results of your work.”

Collaborating across departments

His work is never isolated within a single team. “People who have new boxes made, for example, also come to us. You work with many different colleagues. That makes it dynamic and enjoyable.”

Freedom to explore for yourself

He is motivated primarily by the freedom he experiences. “In engineering, you get to decide how to approach a project. You have the space to work independently, explore things for yourself, and learn things. That freedom is energizing.”

Why Kompak?

After a two-year internship, the decision to stay was quickly made. “I already knew the people, knew how things work here, and could start working as an engineer right away.”

How he would describe Kompak

“It’s a great company to work for. No two days are the same, which makes it challenging and fun. You know everyone, there’s time to help, and it’s not too big. That makes it personal.”

At Kompak, it’s about more than just making products. It’s about collaboration, learning, and helping each other progress. Whether you’re an intern or have progressed to a permanent position, you’ll have the space to explore, grow, and make a difference.
